While it may not be as affordable as the official Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt, this one comes bearing a supermodel’s seal of approval–not to mention a designer Italian label. For the September 10th shopping extravaganza, organized to get consumers back into stores, Dolce & Gabbana has enlisted much-buzzed-about supermodel Naomi Campbell to host an evening at their Madison Avenue flagship (translation: I predict utter paparazzi pandemonium and long lines) where she will personally sign limited edition T-shirts bearing her face. The shirts feature Campbell’s iconic face emblazoned on front and for collector’s like me, you’re in luck: 14 different versions, each one displaying a unique image of Campbell, will be available–photographed by a group that includes Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein, David La Chapelle, Mario Testino, Paolo Roversi, Ellen von Unsworth, Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel and Herb Ritts, among others. At $200 each, the shirts are pricy–but it’s for a good cause. Proceeds from the night’s sales will go to Campbell’s Fashion For Relief charity. What’s more, each shirt bears special tagging and will come housed in a special hard-sided box.
