New from Fresh

A few weeks ago I went over to the Fresh headquarters to check-out their Eat, Pray, Love collection. Until recently it was top secret (I had to sign something where I promised to keep a tight lip!), so I’m excited to finally share what I learned about the collection! Based on the best-selling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, the collection consists of a trio of fragrances and candles launching July 15, about a month before the movie based on the film hits theaters. Being that I’m going to Mumbai for a wedding in December I’m extra jazzed about anything that has to do with this film!

Each of the fragrances will retail for $32 for a 1-oz. eau de parfum spray and they can be worn separately or layered. What is so great about these scents is that they really reflect the word that they were inspired by. Little surprise that my favorite is Love! It has just the right amount of sweetness with top notes of bergamot, red currant and mango blossom; a heart of tiare

and dewy jasmine, and bottom notes of sandalwood, vetiver and velvet

amber. Pray has top notes of elemi, pink pepper and juniper berry; middle notes of incense, peony and rose, and bottom notes of patchouli, amber and musk. Eat has top notes of Italian lemon, basil and bergamot; a heart of plum, red

current and rose, and bottom notes of caramel, meringue and vanilla. More after the jump including the low-down on Fresh’s New Sugar Lip Treatment!

To complement the three scents, Fresh will also be releasing a candle trio ($45). Each candle in the set might only be 2.30-oz., but the scents are powerful and long-lasting. One of them can easily perfume a whole, relatively large room. This is a limited edition collection and I imagine it will sell out fast so don’t wait too long!

Also new from Fresh this summer is the Fresh Sugar Plum Tinted Lip Treatment ($22.50). Fresh’s Sugar Lip Treatments are pretty much the only thing in my makeup bag that I couldn’t go a day without. There’s simply no other lip treatment that I find to be as moisturizing (except for Blistex’s Lip Ointment, but who wants to look at that ugly medical packaging everyday!?). Following up on the success of their Sugar Rose version, Plum Purple takes the classic sugar formulation and adds a subtle purple tint. It’s the perfect option when you don’t want to weigh your lips down with gloss or as a base for your gloss/lip stick. Plus its got SPF 15. I never would have though that sugar could be so non-sticky and moisturizing!
