I have been hearing about these Intraceutical oxygen facials for a while now and I was just dying to get one myself! Lucky for me, I was able to have their resident aesthetician, Cheri Thompson, come to my house for a personalized facial! It all sounds good in theory, oxygen is obviously good for us, and pushing oxygen into our skin should be really good for us. Well, the proof is in the pudding, or in this case, the skin. Cheri decided to debunk my skepticism by doing one side of my face at a time. She asked what my concerns were and of course I wanted lift and firmness but she also added brightening.
She got to work and as a friend looked on, I saw her being struck with awe and wonder. I wanted to see!! But Cheri insisted I wait until she was completely done with that side of my face. When she was done and I looked in the mirror, it was truly miraculous!! I would not have believed such an astounding result if she had not done just one side for me to compare. My face was like the Two Face character from Batman. The most apparent was the laugh line, the treated side was completely diminished and the whole area was actually lifted. My eyes were more subtle but when I looked carefully, I can see that the treated side did not have any puffiness, I didn’t have distinct puffiness to start with but when comparing the two sides, I can see that there is now a big difference. Also, the tone was perfectly clear now, not the slightest under eye darkness. The corner of the eyes were also lifted and firmer. Overall, the tone of my face was brighter and the pores were significantly finer. Now I see why celebrities are all clambering for these facials, especially now all programs are in HD!!
So, what’s the magic? The oxygen delivering devise used is similar to an airbrush gun but with a modified tip. The affecting products are put in the reservoir and pushed into the skin with pressurized oxygen. The results are indisputable. All the cells are plumped up and the results last for days to weeks. It is recommended you use the take home products to extend the results but you should also do the treatments once a week for 6 weeks. After that, the maintenance is like your usual monthly facial. Go to the Intraceutical website to find a spa that offers these treatments near you.
Really interesting to read about this at last. I’ve also been reading about the ‘snail gel facial’, and the ‘voya seaweed facial’ – have you tried them? What did you think?
I have not tried those other facials but I am intrigued!
