Remember back in the day when Kate Spade used to collaborate with artists and brands like Haagen Dazs for fun beach bags? I miss those! It seems Spade has been replaced by Anya Hindmarch when it comes to cutesy collaborations. Hindmarch teamed with street/graffiti artist Ben Eine for a limited edition series of four bags including the Back Britain Tote that British Singer Francesca Sandford is sporting above -fittingly Hindmarch is herself also British. Each bag in the collection retails for $230 and features the big letter fonds that have become Eine’s signature (he sprays them over shop windows, buildings…). Besides “Back Britain,” there are “Loot,” “Booty,” and “Available” bags. Valuable collector’s pieces? Probably not, but fun summer bags? Definitely – especially “Loot”!
Huh? $230 for this?! I think not…
You’re definitely up to date with British ‘celebs’ Sharon! I was really surprised to find an entry on Gary Lineker’s wife the other day, not sure your US readers had a clue who she was though!
Haha British ladies are so chic! And not only Kate and Sienna:)
Umm, would it kill you bagsnobs to do a little internet research? Or just a quick wiki? This is FRANKIE Sandford from THE SATURDAYS! I know Francesca is a longer version, but no one ever calls her that. It’s like calling Liv Tyler, Elizabeth Tyler. Just no. I personally love The Saturdays, even if they are just a replacement for the greatest girlband of all time: GIRLS ALOUD!!!
In regards to the bag, it looks a lot like that Chanel thing that SJP carried with her amazing purple Brian Atwood shoes in SATC2. I wouldn’t spend money on it, but it’s far cheaper than the Chanel and looks better than those weird CC’s on the Chanel, so one thumb up.
