I’m sure you can all fondly recall that around this time three years ago the “Tribute” from Yves Saint Laurent was THE must-have shoe – and what a deserving beauty! Countless stars – Eva Mendes, Cynthia Nixon, Catherine Zeta Jones, Julianne Moore, Sienna Miller, and about a million others – have worn a pair on the red carpet. Katherine Heigl was even spotted in a pair the other day. Three years later I still like this shoe and given that YSL keeps coming-out with new colors I’m guessing so do shoppers. Plus it’s great that the shoe is available in everything from suede to denim, so you can shop to fit your clothing style. I have to say though that I blame these sandals and their 5.5 inch heel for ushering in the trend of 5-inch-plus heels! Why can’t shoes stay at 5-inches? I love high heels, but I don’t love towering over half the men when I enter a room! What do you think about the Tributes? Are they still Snob?
Well, they are still snob, I just think that they should maybe make them like 3.5 inches like YSL is doing their other staple high heel!
hi sharon,
the ysl tributes are my first ever designer shoes that i bought for myself. i was struggling with jobs and money but i know i want to have a pair of these when i first saw them a 2 years ago. finally got it last year for my birthday, i was deciding between a pair of loubs, but i chose these instead (i have the black patent version) because i know it is something special. it makes me feel tall and amazing. i dont wear them all the time, probably 5 times max a year but i dont care because it is so dear to my heart. so, it is forever a snob to me!
