I love Lanvin but it’s been the same look for too long and those chains have always been a practical issue for me. Now here is a gorgeous bag that still has a definite Lanvin personality but with a chain strap and easy shape that I can see myself using everyday. The modern woman in me loves the rough grained leather set against the feminine ribbon bow. And thank you, Alber Elbaz, for considering my shoulders with the leather patch on the shoulder chain! Of course, the blue doesn’t hurt it’s chances of getting into my closet but I don’t need another blue bag, or any bag for that matter. I have gone overboard this sales season and I now need to go furniture shopping =) At Luisa via Roma for $1807.
Hi Kelly,
This message has nothing to do with the Lanvin bag, although I like it too.
I know that you and Tina love Valextra bags. Barneys is having a sale on the Boston bags. Most of the mediums are gone, but there are still the large and the small ones. In addition, if you go to the Valextra section, you would notice that the Premier and the Slim Shopper have reduced prices too. In 2008 I bought the Slim Shopper, as a brief case, at around $2,300, it is now at $1,600.
I just bought the medium Boston in white and in green at $949 each. 🙂
Enjoy,
CWan
Hi Kelly, beautiful bag on display dear. Seems pure leather bag but one thing which itches me is that chain in its handling. Can it sustain a heavy load in the purse?
Thanks
