Over the weekend I saw Kirsten Dunst at Milk Studios for The Creators Project concert series, where she and I were both enjoying the performance by Die Antwoord. Clad in a simple lace top and shorts, Dunst blended in like any other partygoer; if she had worn this Miu Miu getup, things would’ve been very different. It’s nice that she supports a brand whose campaign she once starred in. The “azzuro cady” silk figure printed dress with red sparrow print collar and blouson cap sleeves is easily identifiable from Miu Miu’s spring collection and it takes a certain amount of chutzpah to pull off such a distracting look. I do appreciate that she wore a fitted dress as opposed to a garbage sack-like dress she’s so often photographed in. The collar is simply adorable and the white bib-like front is both clever and charming. If you don’t mind a dress that screams “Miu Miu Spring 2010,” then this is a worthy purchase.
