Take one look at a piece from Elena Coleman’s line, TOMTOM Jewelry, and you won’t find it hard to believe that Coleman is a formally trained architect. Based in Manhattan, TOMTOM has a very modern, streamlined feel and there are graphic/geometric touches to most every piece in the bold collection. Coleman combines architecture fabrication techniques (3D printing and water/laser jet cutting), with traditional jewelry design and uses a variety of materials including 18k Gold, Oxidized Silver and Gunmetal, Swarovski crystals, and vintage chains in her work. The stand-out piece in her current collection is this 4..3..2..1 Necklace ($325)…it kind of reminds me of something Judy Jetson would wear (in a good way!).
