She may be a Chanel girl at heart–seriously, when isn’t she spotted with a classic quilted?–but Rachel Bilson, on occasion, splits her love for accessories. That’s where Marni, Bilson’s seemingly other favorite handbag brand, comes into play. In town to promote her new role as style director at the Sunglass Hut, the young fashion maven has been spotted out and about in Manhattan with Marni’s off-white linen and tan leather framed top-handle bag with bejeweled clasp. Designer Consuelo Castiglioni created this top-handle bag as part of her spring collection in stores now. I would be lying if I said everyone could pull off a bag as dainty as Bilson’s. Practicality is clearly thrown out the window as, for 99% of working women, this would either be a secondary bag or a weekend bag. It’s got a nostalgic, vintage feel to it–as most Marni bags do–but at a seriously current price. And you could probably find a similar bag at a flea market or, better yet, DIY! But Marni is a fabulous brand known for its take on quirky, off-the-beaten-track design. Ultimately, the decision is up to you.
$996, available at Marni boutiques nationwide
cute bag, but i like her dress better. who was she wearing?
ooh very bad combo linen with the black and royal ick and yes the bag is overpriced (per usual)
her dress says nothing to me, or whatever she`s wearing and her `pretty little bag` doesn`t even go with the outfit. I know how sometimes it`s cool not to match clothes or accessories you`re wearing, and it you still look fabulous, but there are rules in non matching outfits too. Which obviously she`s not aware of 🙂
