Fresh off her dazzling arrival at the Met Ball’s Costume Institute gala in a gorgeous Valentino Haute Couture nude gown, Kate Bosworth continues to prove she’s a style chameleon. The actress was spotted wearing one of Prada’s limited edition dresses from the label’s “Print Collection” while running errands in Manhattan. Known as the “popeline” dress, it was inspired by the 1950s and made from a vintage violet argyle print fabric from the Prada archives. For a dress with such an old lineage, it looks timeless yet slightly nostalgic. I love how Bosworth updated it with the slim belt, long-strap messenger bag and gladiator flat sandals. The neckline is particularly flattering on her petite frame, while the dress is just loose enough for a hot summer day out. The vertical panels of the fabric just beneath the torso also extend Bosworth’s legs, giving the illusion of length. It isn’t the cheapest summer dress on the block, but if we can all look as calm, cool and collected as Bosworth does, at the end of the day, isn’t that what we all want? $855, available at Prada stores nationwide.
