A few weeks ago I made the transition from PC to Apple thinking my life would be infinitely easier as a result…meanwhile my emails are oddly formatted, no one can open my documents, and I can’t figure out how to stream Gossip Girl on CW.com! I’ve got at least 3 episodes to catch-up on and restraining myself from reading the New York Magazine recaps has not been easy! Luckily I have caught some fashion snippets. Above Blair Waldorf is carrying an Amanda Pearl Samira Pasha Clutch ($1,598). I have to say I was shocked at the price when I first saw it, but then I found out that all of the bags in the Amanda Pearl collection are fashioned in Italy and the US by hand from vintage fabrics and with beads gathered from the designer’s travels. Impressive craftsmanship aside, I’ve never been much of a fan of beading and the above clutch – beaded with Labradorite, Lime Jade, freshwater pearls, and Czech crystal — is no different. The dense beading is a bit much against the Hawaii-esque, kind of curtain-like print of the bag (and Blair’s busy dress!). The inside of the bag however is wonderfully organized with credit card, mirror, and cash pockets and the clutch comes with a gold chain handle so it can be used as a handbag.
I really love the clutch but with that dress its a NO NO like you said to busy and to much going on. A plain dress simply cut would of been amazing with this bag.
I agree the bag is not all that. But I’m more concerned about your mac troubles. Maybe you should take a one-to-one lesson at the mac store and they can help you with the transition. You might want to go into your system preferences and set that up too. Good luck!
