Jessica Alba in Chloé “Belladone” Sunglasses

If anyone embodies cool, carefree style, her name would be Jessica Alba. The actress, who never appears uptight or contrived in any of her outfits–be it running errands in L.A. or stepping out on the red carpet–knows how to work a good accessory. For downtime with the family, her latest favorite is Chloé’s “Belladone” sunglasses. Alba’s pair, pictured here, is in brown and features an acetate composition with subtle mix of materials: a plain acetate top bar which underlines the look and a base available in either a crystal/milky hue or horn. The two little metal pieces on the front give an elegant and smart effect. Again, this pair has a slight retro feel to it–very much on trend with the season’s shades. The gradient effect is a nice touch too; I, for one, like to be able to see the eyes of the person I’m talking to. Attention was clearly paid to the design of these not-so-run-of-the-mill glasses; they have enough intricacy in their design to cause notice but not so much as to seem overdone. Whether worn with a sleek pantsuit or fitted Tee and jeans, it’s sure to dress up any look.
