While the box office success of her latest movie, “The Back-Up Plan,” remains to be seen, Jennifer Lopez clearly has her style groove back. Witness her one-two punch of ensembles on Monday: for a taping of “The David Letterman Show,” Lopez arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre clad in a gorgeous Mikhael Kale fitted black coat over a Donna Karan Collection blush pink dress and accessories with Le Silla champagne Swarovski sandals (what? No Louboutins?) and a Halston gold cuff. I think the zipper detail is divine and really elongates her body (her blow out looks gorgeous too). I think this is a great day coat for a working woman on the go; it makes a perfect transition from day into night. The skim at the knee is a flattering silhouette and the coat is cut in a way that hides minor flaws and keeps you almost corseted in. Chic!
A few hours later, Lopez emerged from her hotel clad in another eye-catching outfit, this time designed by Alber Elbaz. The cut of this Lanvin beige sequin asymmetrical cocktail dress with gold sequin embroidery and black elastic bow belt tucked underneath is incredible. It shows off her flat stomach and toned legs while is generously proportioned on top to create a stunning counterbalance. Lopez, who may be more self-conscious of her upper body, can relax and breath easy (not to mention eat!) in this forgiving dress, which she accessorized with eggshell patent chain t-strap pumps–both, like the dress, from the Spring 2010 collection.
Do you know where this Lanvin dress is sold. I haven’t seen it at Barneys. Maybe it’s Pre-Fall?
Thank you
My oppinion is that she should retire from the movie business, she`s not good as an actress. I noticed how all singers, that reached the first place in this business, try their luck with moviess too. All of them. And they get roles just because of who they are. Is it fair? Of course it isn`t. Everybody should stick to what they`re good at, and I like her songs. Jennifer, don`t forget. Never try to shoot two rabbits in the same time!
