I wish the Prada Spazzolato Tote ($2,395), Jessica Alba was spotted sporting was a few inches higher. It has all the makings of a nice everyday investment bag, but I don’t find the rectangular shape attractive. Plus the fact that it has an open top doesn’t make it very practical as a casual day bag given how wide it is (either side of the strap is perfectly sized to fit a slippery hand…). Why do so many day bags not zip properly!?? Such a deal-breaker for me as I’m rather careless about how I hold my bag. I do like the details around the double-stitched handles, though I could do without the crystal details which seem more fitting for Miu Miu.
What do you think about Alba’s Prada Tote? Snob or Slob?
aThe bag Jessica Alba is carrying is not the soft calf satchel it is the spazzalato bag with crystals and it is not a cream color like the one shown in the picture.The one shown is a soft leather and the one Jessica is like a rubbery material and the color is like a cloudy grey.That beeing said they are both pretty bags.

The version that is shown on the left is a snob, too. I have alot of handbags that have zippers, but most of the time, it remains open. So, the open top doesn’t bother me. So, I say snob to both.

I think this is a great classic bag. If it was a few inches higher, it would just be another boring tote. The shape makes it a little different and I love the color too.

It has 3″ drop handles and a 14-16″ detachable shoulder strap. The diameter is 7 1/2″. No metal feet. The bag that Jessica Alba is carrying is the Spazzolato Tote. It retails for $2395. It is a shiny leather tote with resin crystals at the top, double handles and a 20″ detachable shoulder strap. The diameter is 6 1/4″. It has metal feet. Honestly it took me about 2 minutes to find the correct information, not sure why it wasn’t properly researched.
Thank you Nina! I wonder if it was not up yet when I checked because this cream color was the closest I could find when I wrote this. It comes in a variety of styles though I have to say I’m not a fan of the Speedy-like shape (also doesn’t seem very practical with short straps and long strap isn’t particularly flattering or safe given that the bag doesn’t zip), so I’m not a fan of either color…
If I`m window shopping and I see this bag, I`d say no. But seeing it on Jessica Alba doesn`t look that bad. iLike her a lot , she`s beautiful and evidently she knows how to make everything she wears special.
I’m sorry, but it’s a slob. Look how the bottom is sagging. And the embellishment is cheesy.
I like the color of the bag and the crystal ornamentation is unique, but I wouldn’t pay almost $2500 (more than that after sales tax) for this bag. The shape and size with the short handles make this a very impractical bag. A snap or zipper closure & a detachable shoulder strap would make this more user friendly. But even with those additions, I’d still think the price was too high. And while I think the ornamentation is “unique” I’m not particularly a fan of it and think it actually looks gaudy and cheapens the bag’s appearance.
IMO this bag is prettier in the pic than IRL. Something about resin “crystals” that just looks cheap.

SLOB for me. It’s just blah, seems overpriced and the crystals are tacky… Just my two cents 🙂
