Rachel Bilson has the best personal style. Her look above makes me even sadder than I thought possible that it’s still winter here in NYC! All I want to do is go out in a blazer, tank, jeans, and a big handbag:-( The 3.1 Phillip Lim Page ($895) handbag that both Bilson and Witherspoon have been spotted wearing has a removable shoulder strap which makes it a great alternative to the totally played out Balenciaga City (soooo over that bag…how are people still buying it!? It’s on every street corner being knocked-off…). I’m also liking that it has both gold and silver hardware, because it makes coordinating the bag with jewelry a lot easier. Actually versatility is the key word for this bag, especially given its day-to-night size. Plus the price is spot-on.
I completely agree with you regarding this amazing Phillip Lim bag, as well as your assessment of the over-it-already Balenciaga bags!!! I just saw the Phillip Lim bag in real life this weekend and I adore it! So well priced too. Looks as great in red as it does in black. Where I live (in Toronto), every second person carries a Balenciaga and I just need to see them end of that style really really soon!
I agree about Bilson she does have great personal style. The handbag is also a nice design, I wonder if either of them received the bag from Phillip Lim of if they purchased it? I disagree about Balenciaga though. Yes its on every corner, but so are fake Chanels and birkins… So I don’t see that point, its a classic. No?

People still buy Balenciaga because the leather and colors are amazing. The style, to some people, are a classic. And they are a cult fave. Why do people still buy LV? Chanel?

balenciaga is sooooo NOT OVER.Louis Vuitton and chanel are knocked off everywhere and i think lately their new collections are horrible other then some of their classic pieces which everyone and there mother own.Balenciaga is such a great bag with the best colors.

I’m with Sharon on the Balenciaga overload. I really don’t understand the fashion appeal once you’ve seen every second other person carrying the *same* bag. Unless you are aiming for the status-symbol-carrying clone look. Which I do understand.
Ami you’re not the only one! i think this is ugly too, looks kinda like a copy of the Chloe Saskia. Anyway, I don’t agree on the Balenciaga comment either. Just because we love Balenciaga doesn’t mean we are aiming for the “status-symbol-carrying clone look”.. that is pretty ridiculous. There are no logos on Balenciagas, you only know it’s a Balenciaga if you’re familiar with it.
