Jerome Dreyfuss Franky Bag

Jerome Dreyfuss.jpg

Jerome Dreyfuss is one of the most talented up-and-coming young handbag designers – when he launched his label, the designer was only 23 years old! Now that he’s been in the business for about 10 years he’s finally getting the attention he deserves thanks to his knack for creating staple creations with eye-catching amounts of intricate details. His pieces are almost always offered in a variety of colors and fabric/skin choices to suit differing tastes and budgets. My favorite piece from the designer’s current collection is his black Franky Bag in python ($2,565). You can wear it as a handbag if you’ve got a lot of stuff to tote around or you can fold the top-half over like a flap and use the removable strap and wear it as a smaller shoulder bag or just fold it over without the strap and wear it as an over-sized clutch! The hardware is so understated and chic and there are great belt details on the bottom edges…not to mention the gorge python!

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. If the leather and the detailing is of good quality, this could be a good multipurpose bag choice for someone, not yet owning an exotic bag. Three bags in one. The price is reasonable.

  2. Are you guys serious? Every bag that you posted today was featured on Bag Poor a gazillion years ago! Maybe you should have hired someone from their staff?!?

  3. Shannon must work for Bag Poor because she posted a similar comment on another bag.

Anyway, the bag looks very much like Foley + Corina (sp?) I am not a fan of black handbags so I don’t think that I would purchase this one.

  4. First off, It would seem that bloggers should be supportive of each other and follow related blogs. Second off, I can’t look at the Bag Poor blog simply because it is so poorly designed. Take a little of that bag money and spend it on a new header.. or I will make one for free (I am not a professional designer). The colors, the header, the font, everything is just plain offensive to my eyes. I can’t get past the initial look of the blog to really look at the content. I am not trying to be mean, but as a consumer and a reader of many fashion blogs, I find it’s important to have a good looking website.

  5. This bag is stunning. Sharon, you have a great eye for simple, elegant bags with eye-catching features that makes a person look twice. LOVE, love, love this in python – so chic!

  7. Adore this bag, it combines two of my most favourite things, Jerome Dreyfuss and Python!

I haven’t quite got enough pocket money to treat myself to this gorgeous specimin but while searching I did come a cross a site with some Jerome D in the sale (a rare find).

Here is the link incase any of you fancy treating yourself…. I think I’m going after this one http://www.mememeaccessories.com/Accessories/shop/231-4906-Jerome-Dreyfuss-Medium-Billy-in-White-Perforated-Leather-RRP-gbp445

  8. Jerome Dreyfuss bags are very poorly made. The store doesn’t care about customer service. THey won’t do anything if your bag falls apart after one week. THey think this shows how delicate their bags are. I had my worst experience with this brand.

  9. I think these bags are made very well. I bought a little messenger in red last summer and I get so many compliments. Just got the new metallic version on Barneys website. Great alternative to all the large bags I own. I have not had a problem yet so can’t comment on the service, but the leather is soft mushy and not delicate at all.
