First off, this bag looks much better in person. You have to see the interesting print to get the full gist of what is going on. But really, what made me sit up and take notice is that Bottega Veneta is doing this same technique on a bag I pre-ordered during the Spring Trunk Show!! They fold the leather and apply the color so when it is unfolded you get an irregular and degrade effect at the creases. It is really cool when done right. In black and white, it is better for a small bag like a clutch but the Bottega Veneta I got is a giant hobo and in Spring’s trend color – yellow (BV calls it yolk, it is a softer yellow and not a sunshine bright one). Such a great way to add interest without going to exotics or embellishments. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $395.
I agree, the print is beautiful, pretty eye catching.
