Stars, for years now so attached to their awkward handbag-in-crook-of-arm pose, are slowly but surely warming up to the long-strap bag style that’s all the rage for spring. I think Dolce & Gabbana’s adorably named “Miss Sicily” bag is a great way meld of both looks. Victoria Beckham and Madonna both recently sported the $1,695 crochet version–the former to a meeting in Milan, the latter to a birthday party with adopted daughter Mercy James–proving the bag’s versatility. I think Posh looks great with her Dolce bag, which she paired with a Burberry Prorsum belted trench dress; it’s a structured shape (think Fendi Peek-a-boo) she has worn many times–mostly with her Hermès Kelly bag. Along with a detachable strap and leopard print interior, the bag, which was prominently shown at the designers’ Spring 2010 show, is also offered in patent leather and embossed croc versions for those wanting a slightly harder edge. What do you think of the bag? Snob or Slob?

What are you guys smoking ? This is a hideous bag.
i would actually buy this dolce. it’s much better than their usual hideous bags.
I crochet and love almost anything crocheted, but this is as boring as you can get. Slob.
I crochet and knit too and a single crochet flap bag is boring and amateurish. I would be embarrassed to carry this.
I hate it
it is so impractical and heavy when it is empty
hedious handle and strap
I can’t wait to sell this crappy bag on ebay
