I haven’t even been to Fashion Week for Fall 2010 in New York yet and I’m already getting previews for Fall 2010 Tot Fashion!! I can see why A. Bird is in such a hurry to show off their collection, it is seriously the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a long time. The little boy’s Ryder Pant ($80) is awesome! This is the refined cousin of the cargo shorts, same comfort and ease but polished and totally sophisticated. The Lacy Linen Pant ($80) for girls will be amazing by itself or under a breezy dress. What can be girlier than multi-layer ruffles?
These 2 items really are cute, but I felt like the rest of the line was pretty ho-hum, especially for the price tag. Definitely not whimsical, as they describe it. It’s pretty obvious they aren’t clothes designers.
I don’t usually comment negatively on things, but I feel like it’s just another brand that covers its clothes in big logos and then tries to create an aura through its elevated price tag rather than its elevated style… That really irritates me!
