I’m seriously debating about getting this 3.1 Phillip Lim Sequined Silk Dress ($675) as my New Year’s dress (less than a month away!). I love the gold sequined tank underlay and the draping is gorgeous. The only thing stopping me is that I’m thinking the ivory might make it a bit too summery for a cold New Year’s Eve in NYC (the dress comes in black and blue as well, but doesn’t look as good as the above option). I’m not feeling how net-a-porter has styled this look…would love to see the dress paired with some black pumps with bold gold accents to bring out the sequin as well as a statement ring. I also don’t think the dress was the best fit for someone as low-key as Michelle Williams, but then again I have yet to try this piece on so who knows if I’d even be able to pull-it off…!
