While I’m a fan of George Gina & Lucy, this is not their best work — especially not for nearly $1,000! Above Jessica Szhor is pictured on the set of Gossip Girl with the George Gina and Lucy Las Angelinas ($978) by her side. There’s something about all the pockets, zips, and buckles that make me think that this bag looks like a modified backpack, especially given the drab color (though it’s appropriate enough for Szhor’s character Vanessa since she is a college student on the show). I do think that for $350 this would be a nice buy (it’s leather after-all and the gold hardware isn’t half bad), but at full-price my vote goes to slob.
What do you think about the Las Angelinas? Snob or Slob?
I completely agree!!! This bag is eh!!! It’s nothing to write home about!!! See I don’t even know what to say about it!!!
I think it looks like someone took Luke Skywalker’s Jacket and threw it on a bag. Yuck.
George Gina & Lucy’s is a German company, isn’t it? Ever since I read an interview with the founders a few years back, just when they where getting popular in Germany, I refuse to buy one of their products. Basically one of the founders said that they just used a bunch of hooks and snaps and attached them to bags. They came up with the names (no meaning whatsoever) and sold some at a small fashion boutique. When they sold quickly they had larger amounts produced in China. It sounded like a business, nothing else.
Got to read your Post ´cause I was searching for blogs that deal with George Gina & Lucy.
Would be curious if you are a fan of their current work.
May I share my “Baby-Blog” here? Will not destroy anything here at the older posts, won´t it?
Kind regards 🙂
