HerCut: Style vs. Type

When I first heard about HerCut my reaction was “I can’t believe this hasn’t been done before!” The new line of hair care products was developed to target specific hair cuts vs hair types, so there’s a styling product for those with a ‘Bob,’ ‘Pixie,’ ‘Long Layers,’ ‘Shag,’ and the ‘Blunt’. Isn’t that cool!?? I mean isn’t our hair first and foremost defined by our cut? Yes, texture plays a big role and for those of you who think this could be a problem (after all you can have long curly layers or stick straight ones), HerCut’s shampoos and conditioners are type rather than cut-specific which helps give hair texture the specific treatment it needs. The style-specific styling products work similar to Biore’s Dual Fusion Moisturizer in that when you press for it to dispense, clear and cream parts come-out for dual action. The styling products, which HerCut calls Catalysts, retail for $28, while their shampoos and conditioners go for $22. I think the idea for this line is fab and as long as you stick with a shampoo and conditioner that targets your hair type (ie try, normal, oily…), their catalysts are a great way to make the most of your cut.

Would you try a line that treats hair based on your hair style?
