When I was younger I was obsessed with getting a dog. Every birthday, every good grade, every time I did anything remotely noteworthy I was convinced that I would be getting a dog (and a TV in my room for that matter…). Unfortunately growing up in Manhattan the only pets I ever had were some fish I got “free with purchase” in the Bloomingdale’s Kids section one year, a turtle when I learned how to ride a bike, and some butterflies that came in a science kit that I had to let fly away after a few days — booooring!
Looking back now I can of course see why my parents didn’t want to get me a dog. Between rigorous course-work and endless after school activities there was no way I would have had time to care for a dog (I went to a French school where it’s normal for kids as young as 11 who are in advanced classes to be in school from 8 to 6! Then factor in tennis, piano and all those other things kids are expected to do these days…I don’t even know how I survived looking back!). Any case, I can totally see why these ladies want to pamper their dogs. They become like family I imagine, so I say why not tote them in a chic designer dog bag!
What do you think? Snob or Slob?
if you need a bag for your dog then why not go designer?
i dont like those small tea cup-rat dogs. I like a good healthy looking mid-sized dog!
I have a 5 month old rottweiler and that little rascal is very adorable. I spoil him the right way: let him take over the backyard, hang out around the house, doggie treats, I pet him daily and weekly baths.
no pet pedicures, no silly doggie sweaters and I dont dye his hair either. It would also be a waste of money to get him a bag much less a designer one.
I heard that Jessica Simpson has a carrier to sell! 😛 (poor Jessica!) my hounds are too big for an over the shoulder bag but they do have a Gucci toy bag for all their accessories!
I don’t know, I just don’t feel like pets belong in a bag. They need to walk and exercise. But if you must put your pet in a bag and you have the money, why not get a designer bag? Especially if it matches your outfit. To each their own I guess.
In response to Jahpson’s comment…if you don’t like small dogs, then say your preference isn’t small dogs. To come on bagsnob to say you don’t like teacup rat dogs can offend some in here being that many do like those tea cup and small sized dogs. Not everyone likes big dogs or afford to have a place where they can have a big dog.
As for the designer bag, why not? If you have it, go for it. It is an accessory after all on the outside. They have designer diaper bags why not carrying bags for dogs.
You just proved that you didnt even read my whole comment as I wasn’t knocking those who have small dogs or those who choose to purchase designer dog carriers.
Instead of trying to fight, read what you see
i dont apologize for saying what I feel. have a nice day
