I love Chanel jewelry — and I’m not talking about their fine jewelry and watches (for those prices I’ll take something from Cartier instead any day), but rather their over-sized, bling-bling plastic, leather, metal, and resin pieces. I’m all about fun, bold accessories — sometimes even ones that verge on tacky and overly-colorful (I just love the drama!). The one thing I don’t like is when a brand stamps their name all over the place, which of course is what Chanel’s costume jewelry is all about. Somehow though they get away with it. Even though their jewelry is arguably completely over-priced given the materials used and often times tacky, the pieces are so fun and light-hearted that I find myself drawn to a countless number of them season after season.
What do you think about Chanel’s bold baubles? Snob or Slob?
Slob. I don’t like earrings with words. 😀
