I have a question for the skin and Health expert (Really do think you should team together and do dietsnob-every women is interested in health, exercise and diet!!)
When I go on holiday I don’t really feel that I should be doing my usual makeup routine of foundation, powder, bronzer etc…yet I would still like to achieve that flawless dewy skin that I do with my makeup on!! Is this possible or am I living in my usual dream world?!
Bobby Says: Even when you’re taking a vacation from your regular makeup routine, you can still have flawless-looking skin. A Tinted Moisturizer with SPF is a great three-in-one product that will give you coverage while also hydrating your skin and protecting it from UV rays. If you need more coverage, spot-apply foundation in the areas where you need it most instead of all over your face. If you can’t live without blush, try a cream blush like my Pot Rouge, which will look dewy and also stay put when you’re swimming. At night, dab a little shimmer on your lids and along your cheekbones and you’re good to go.

Bobbi, what is the easiest way to take my day makeup to night makeup without having to re-do my entire face?
Bobbi Says: Taking your makeup from day to night doesn’t have to take a lot of time or energy and you don’t have to start from scratch. It’s all about adding a little drama to your routine look with a few simple, quick tricks.
First, freshen up. Touch-up with a concealer (Beauty Snob note: Creamy concealer is my fave!) and foundation where needed to even out your skin tone. Use your fingers to apply–their natural heat will warm up the product and help blend it into your skin. Next, apply a blush that is slightly brighter than your daytime shade on the apples of your cheeks to give them a pop of color.
Depending on what you have in mind, there are several ways to transform your makeup. Adding a little shimmer to your lips, eyes or cheeks (but not all three!) is an easy way to dress up your look- I like to dust a little bit of Shimmer Brick on to my cheeks for a pretty glow. Iridescent bronze cheeks look great with smoky brown eyes and copper lips. Don’t forget that if you’re wearing a dress that shows off your neck and chest to sweep a little bronzer on the exposed skin.
A smoky eye is another great way to get your look party-ready. Sweep on a darker eye shadow, line your top and lower lid, and brush on several coats of mascara to finish. Pair your smoky eye with a pale, medium or dark lip color depending on how dramatic you want to go.
If you don’t want to change your eye makeup, you can also try switching to a darker, deeper shade of lip color, like a red or burgundy. One of my favorite evening looks is a minimal eye complemented by a red lip and a pink cheek.
Finally, dab on a spritz of perfume, head out and have fun.
great tips! i don’t go anywhere without the tinted moisturizer. it saves me a lot of time each morning!
Lottie,
I am a personal trainer, with an advanced degree in nutrition. If you have an immediate question, and if Tina and company don’t mind, I would be happy to answer. Bobby, thanks for your advice. Doing what I do all day, I really would look silly in a “full face”. My morning routine starts with a tinted moisturizer, and a little gloss.
Thank you Bobbi for picking my question, great tips I am off to Thailand soon so I am going to try out your tips, even going to pick up the cream blush….do you apply it with a brush?

Hi Bobbi, thanks for the tips! I have a question, I am starting to notice my foundation settling into smile, frown lines. Scary! What should I do? I stopped using powder and I can’t stop the foundation or concealer as well. Help!
Thank you Bobbi for choosing my question. I will definitely try some of your fabulous tips. You are the queen of makeup and I bow down to you.
Merci,
Annie
I wear contact lenses and I always have trouble using make up. What do you suggest for ultra sensitive eyes like mine? It’s quite frustrating as I can only wear make up when I’m wearing glasses.
Thank you
BOBBI!!!!!
