Isla Fisher and the Mechante of London Dita Rose Python Pump, $675
A friend of mine, Deborah Lyons, is the designer behind the up-and-coming brand Mechante of London. Her shoes are truly fierce! Isla Fisher just wore a pair of the brand’s Dita Rose Phython pumps to the LA premier of Bruno. Don’t the shoes look great with her Stella McCartney dress? Mechante of London started off as a shoe company, but has quickly grown in popularity (last season all of the shoes used in the Christian Cota show were Mechante of London), and come fall the brand will be debuting outerwear (Henri Bendel has already placed an order). My favorite shoe styles are the ones done in exotics — such a nice mix of classic styles with modern adornments and shapes. A number of the shoes remind me of Tom Ford-era Gucci (was there a better time in fashion!?). For a list of stockists click here.
