I was in Soho yesterday and needed to kill some time before meeting a friend for drinks at one of my fave new Italian eateries, Via Dei Mille. I could either go to Intermix where I would surely be tempted by a certain pair of black Stella McCartney pumps I’ve been eyeing or I could roam the aisles of Sephora where my temptations would, at least, be less expensive. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular and found myself roaming the aisles checking-out brands I wasn’t that familiar with. I came across CARGO and was immediately struck by this odd-looking lip gloss — the CARGO Timestrip Lip Gloss ($22). The gloss has a Timestrip on it! When you insert the Timestrip into the cap it is activated and it “remembers” when you first used the gloss. As time passes, the Timestrip’s window gradually turns red and, when the entire window is red (after nine months), it’s time to toss and replace the gloss…so useful!
this looks interesting! But if the time’s up, I wouldn’t be able to bear to part with my lipgloss collection!!
I do the same thing whenever I have to kill time in Soho! Always end up making up for the price with quantity though… Cargo is known for great lipglosses, I love the ones that come in duo colors in a pot. But this gloss with a timestrip is brilliant! With all the makeup haul, it’s hard to figure out when to toss out items.

This is right up there with vibrating mascara. Seriously…if you’re good you know it!
