One of the biggest perks of being The Bag Snobs is that we get to shop when we preview bags at showrooms. We order bags for the upcoming seasons and plan our wardrobe accordingly. Of course we have absolutely zero self control and want to buy everything in sight but we’ve come up with a good system for controlling each other. We have a method to our shopping madness and by following our guideline we are able to shop selectively and wisely (cuz there is a no return policy when you order straight from showrooms!). The rock-n-roll fabulous grommet clutch above is one that we both went wild over at the Nancy Gonzalez showroom over Fashion week. Nancy calls it “urban guerilla” chic~ love it! I got the liquid black crocodile and Kelly got the gun metal gray version above. Mine has not arrived yet so I don’t have photos but here are some we took at the showroom. This clutch is truly spectacular– Nancy thinks of everything! A back pocket to hold valet tickets or cell phone, divided interior and a zippered center compartment makes it functional to find everything! I love these shoulder bags with chain detail and outer flap pocket. Nancy abhors hardware but she loves the look of chains and incorporated them into the strap beautifully. The bags now come in a gorgeous sueded python that feels like velvet to the touch but is sturdier than regular python as the scales will not curl. The small shoulder crocodile bag with ring detailed strap in matte grey is $2250.

i like the bags. the clutch is very marc jacobs. the best part about zero hardware on NG bags is that you don’t have to worry about coordinating the hardware with your other accessories, which is a big plus for me.

I am touched by your concern. It’s been a very stressful week between my son’s surgery and an unrelated personal matter. I was tired of being deceived and manipulated and finally stood up for myself. I am not down, on the contrary. Everything is going smoothly with my son’s recovery and I’ve discovered that I have the world’s most wonderful friends and readers in addition to the most supportive and loving husband.

I love Nancy Gonzalez bags but the shoulder bags look exactly the same to one of Barbara Bui’s bag of her Summer 2009 collection. The only difference its that Nancy covered the hardware with leather, but the form it’s the same.
