Finding a mascara that applies clump-free and doesn’t make your lashes fall-out upon removal is hard enough, but finding one that can apply clump-free on your short, thin, corner, and lower lashes is on a level all its own! Luckily there’s some great new ones that target exactly those lashes! The funky-looking one pictured on top is Imju Fiberwig Tiny Sniper Pure, $15. The wand has an ultra-fine angled brush that was inspired by makeup artists who often bend the heads of mascara brushes or use an interdental brush to avoid missing lashes. That’s not the only cool innovation behind the wand though — it was discovered that the best possible grip is the same as when holding a pen, so Tiny Sniper’s cap is long enough to help prevent hand shaking when using it. Unsurprisingly the Tiny Sniper is great at targeting exactly what it sets out to do, plus its formulated to resist sweat and oil (to prevent smudging)..no wonder Imju is the best-selling mascara in Japan! More after the jump!
Elizabeth Arden’s Two Brush Mascara is another good pick because you won’t need two separate mascaras — it’s got one big brush for your top lashes and a smaller one for your bottom/hard-to-reach lashes. For $18 it’s a great deal — most other dual-ended mascaras like the one from Guerlain are more than double the price . Plus I found that I was easily able to remove the Elizabeth Arden mascara with eye makeup removing pads (easier than the Imju one where I needed some Jurlique eye makeup cream remover as well).
Kanebo Sensai’s MASCARA 38°C (Separating & Lengthening, $32) is also a great pick. This one applies totally clump-free no matter where you’re applying it because very little mascara comes off the brush which means you’re getting precise application. The only downfall is that it takes a little bit longer than with other wands to apply, but it’s worth it not to have to deal with extracting clumps from my lashes!
My mum bought the Kanebo mascara on recommendation from an airport SA, and it is hands down the worst mascara either of us has ever tried. I wear contacts, and through my teenage years of both heavy goth-style eye-makeup and retro styles with lashings of mascara, I’ve never had any mascara flake into my eyes and cause irritation – other than Kanebo 38°C.
No way that’s horrible! I’m actually wearing it right now and wear it often and never once have I had flaking..maybe they sold you an old one?
