Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Worse than getting pinched is being caught in something pukey green and hideous. Personally, I love green and would wear green all month long if only I had enough in my wardrobe to last that long. Here are some choices that are not only fun but totally chic. You would be surprised at how green will brighten you outfit especially if you contrast it. Actually, you should never go all green =)
The Lanvin Assouan Flat Sac is not only great for the occasion but studs are the call of the season. $1840 at Barneys New York.
The Christian Louboutin Watersnake Hobo is actually a bag I would seriously consider getting for the summer. The style is elegant and classic and the green is very neutral and extremely easy to wear. With watersnake, you get the look of exotic without the hefty price tag. And speaking of heft, watersnake is super lightweight!! At Neiman Marcus for $2895.
Some other secondary choices just for fun. The Elvie from McQueen is a perennial favorite but in green, I would have to say it is only fitting for the St. Patrick’s Day parade. And if you were not selected as this year’s Grand Marshall, I would leave it on the store shelf. At Saks for $2160. Elvie Frame Bag
The Badgley Mischka Connie Hobo is a good buy at $345. The giant outer pocket is not so disturbing in person, once it is set against the body it looks more normal but still, like I said, this is a secondary choice only because it is green to suit the festivities of the day. At Saks Fifth Avenue
And for those who love bags so much you just want to eat them, here is your chance to do so without incurring digestive malfunctions. I love chocolate almost as much as I love bags (almost!) so without a doubt I will indulge in these, I’ll start with the green one first for today. Golda & I set of 3 chocolate bags for $35 at Saks. These makes incredibly fun, delicious and much appreciated hostess gifts!
