The images above perfectly sum-up what I think about crimped hair — it’s a hair trend best left to the young! I love Madonna, but crimped hair, in my opinion, only works on ladies in their 20s and 30s and not on those who were adults in the 80s (you had your chance to rock the look back in the day!). As to the frizzy-crimp looks, those should be left exclusively to runway models like the one pictured on the left at the Spring-Summer 2009 Dior Haute Couture Show. That said for Lindsay Lohan-esque crimped hair Redken Spray Starch 15 is great to apply when using a crimping iron. It protects your hair while mimicking the pattern of your iron. Plus it locks in your crimps to keep them frizz free!
