In addition to plenty of ongoing lawsuits, American Apparel can now add horrific window displays to their roster of offenses! Seriously scary was the mess of gold and silver head-to-toe spandex that I saw in a few of their locations around NYC. Check-out examples of their offenses on their website. Plus, didn’t we all already suffer through a gold overload trend in the late 90’s? Don’t get me wrong I’m all about gold accessories — whether it be a belt, a touch on the shoes, even big bold, stacked gold bracelets to spice-up an LBD — but not a full-on look! And definitely not spandex! Aside from spandex though, even a beauty like Eva Mendez couldn’t make it work (though between the three ladies pictured above she’s the winner in my book). Please make the gold stop!
