I’ve been all about the quirky Marc by Marc Jacobs numbers lately. I just got this Marc by Marc Jacobs Trampoline Satin Dress ($230 at Net-a-Porter), at Saks for only about $150! When I tried it on I didn’t realize that the sleeves belonged off the shoulder and I actually think they look a lot better when they’re on the shoulder — it makes the top of the dress look less like an over-sized bow and more like cool ruching. To me the dress is super fun and youthful, but still sophisticated in a I-have-fun-with-fashion sort of way. On that note, I’m going to a Bar Mitzvah next week and I couldn’t think of a better dress to wear in a room full of kids! Though I should add that while this dress is short, it’s not nearly as short as it looks on that model..probably because I’m 5’5 and she’s at least 6 feet tall!
This is a bad one, am not liking MJ stuff.
I love Marc Jacobs. This dress is pretty. I’d like to see what the shoulders look like up though to make a decision.
I’ll update the post with a picture after the 13th..I’m wearing it to the Bar Mitzvah next Sunday!
