You can never underestimate the usefulness of a simple, practical tote but why make it a boring brown sack? I have bought the perfectly rectangular totes because they’re good for practical life things like errands, trips, long days out, etc. but it just makes me feel so schleppy and I’m just dreaming of a better bag in my closet that I could be using. That’s why I stopped buying bags purely based on function, really no need to with so many options out there like this Melrose Tote from Alexander McQueen in this cool, fresh, vibrant green. I do love the pink interior, how can you ever say no to pink? But this combo is a little bit Lilly Pulitzer, if you know what I mean. Anyway, you don’t really see them both at the same time when the bag is closed so it’s fine. The trapezoid shape with the simple turnlock hardware is a watered down version of the Elvie but it still has all the style and hipness of McQueen. For spring, with a color this bold, you can wear it with anything and make it a statement. Alexander McQueen Melrose Tote
