I’m not loving Katie Holmes or Kelly Rowland, but I think Kate Moss looks stunning and overall I think tailored looks inspired by men’s suits are a great look especially around this time when my wardrobe gets heavy on black and white solid pieces (I’ve never done the whole no white after Labor Day thing — I love white too much!). Though I would have loved to see these looks more accessorized! Wearing a male-inspired outfit always makes me want to make statements with my accessories to add a feminine edge. Check-out some finds below and let me know what you think about a Tuxedo Jacket for women!

Say what you like about Kate Moss, she really knows how to dress. Stunning is definitely the word. On the other hand, Katie Holmes just seems dowdy and her jacket doesn’t apparently fit properly whilst Kelly Rowland just looks like a waitress.
Hahah yes waitress/concert pianist.
It looks like Katie is wearing the Givenchy sandals Kelly talked about a couple of days ago. I agree Kate Moss always looks stylish.
I was recently trying to figure out what to wear over my little black and silver Vivenne Tam cocktail dress for a Christmas party next month. A pashmina? Nah. A shrug? Too two seasons ago. Then I read this post and it dawned on me- a black tuxedo jacket! Perfection. 🙂
Yes, they do look like the same shoes, but you don’t get the full effect of them as they fade into her rather dull drainpipes.
And I’m sorry but I need to complain about the jacket a bit more. The only reason wearing a tuxedo jacket works on a woman is that it should be cut to show off that you are a woman, so that you get the contrast between the masculine style and the feminine cut. This jacket makes her look as though she has no boobs or waist and because it’s too long her legs look stumpy. That’s the kind of jacket worn by a woman who thinks her bum is too big, which you can’t imagine is a problem that Katie Holmes has.
