Kimochi Life Dolls

kimochi_red.jpg

These might look like any other doll but like everything else, life is in the details. Kimochi means feelings in Japanese and each of these dolls come with 3 little pillow dolls that express different “feelings”, like fear, frustration, sad, happy, proud and cranky. There is a pocket for these to be put away but I suppose the purpose is to take out the feelings and not hide them away. I find this totally fascinating and like something Olivia would use on Law and Order: SVU. To further the fascination, the descriptions of each character are really random yet totally personal. Here is the one for the Red and Blue dolls above:

Blue and Red are very lucky. They are extremely communicative and love to cook. Blue and Red live in an Oak Tree. The interior of their dwelling is shire-like with simple materials and forms from nature that are organic. The twins have a fantastic kitchen in the center of their living room. Blue’s favorite number is 2. Red’s favorite number is 10. Red’s favorite color is turquoise. Blue’s favorite color is ebony. They love drinking smoothies and baking cookies. They love to sing duet style! Kimochi Blue Twin comes with 3 feelings to discover and play with – happy, sad, and frustrated.

Strangely intriguing, right? Where is their Oak Tree house? I totally want to visit! At Mason and Matisse for $40.
