I JUST returned from Paris Fashion Week so I’m still getting over my truffle-fois gras and champagne-flavored macaroon hangover (I stayed at my best friend’s apartment who just moved to Paris and she lives right by a Dalloyau shop — this is not safe for someone with a penchant for indulgence — not even the skin and bone models I spent my days watching could stop me for stopping in everyday!). That said, I’m happy to report that I’ve come back with more than a few beauty and fashion tidbits and there is no better place to start then with the Jean Charles de Castelbajac Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. His collection exemplifies what makes Paris Fashion Week so exciting — the shows are true productions! From live performances (Gaspard Yurkievich had a whole orchestra, choir, singer and conductor at his runway show!), to the set everything is meant to excite — unfortunately all that excitement comes at a 1-hour-plus late running time price! JC/DC’s collections are always fun and vibrant and ALWAYS, ALWAYS set to great music, but this season took the cake. Read more after the jump!

Man Like Me performing live at the JC/DC show — they finished their set by taking off their pants!

Besides having a stellar live performance from Man Like Me (could there be anything more suited for a JC/DC collection?), from wall to runway the whole space was covered in cloud print aaaand — Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed as his character Bruno (he is currently filming a movie set to come out in 2009), crashed the show!

Sacha Baron Cohen getting approached by a security guard. I think I was the only one in the room who recognized him. Thankfully I had an amazing seat in the second row right where all the action was going down!

The British comedian tried shoving a piece of paper at the models, chatted-up the puzzled crowd, and walked the runway on his cell phone before making his way backstage! He also tried crashing the Vanessa Bruno show which I went to after this whole debacle. Unfortunately dressed as a sailor and throwing around an anchor he didn’t get in:( Check-out some of the videos I took of the incident and a video of the final runway walk to see all the action and fabulously eye-catching clothes (there was a Lego and Disney theme), here!
