Monika Botkier was a successful fashion photographer who was frustrated over the lack of stylish and functional bags when she decided to sell her Fendi baguettes on eBay and make bags her way. The wildly popular “Trigger” tote was the result and the rest, as they say, is bag history. From her first order with Barneys to now selling close to 50,000 bags a year, I’d say ridding her bags on eBay was a very smart move!
Botkier is one of my favorite brands in the under $500 market; urban chic and utterly cool (just like Monika herself!) the bags have a cult following from coast to coast. The latest from the line, the Ziggy Pouchette, is an adorable little bag for day or night. The origami fold and stitching with brushed gold hardware gives this gem a unique flavor. This is the perfect cocktail party bag; dangle it from your arm or wrist and you will have both hands free to eat, drink, or gesticulate! 6.75″ x 11.5″ with 4″ wristlet strap. Botkier $275 at Saks.com (jump for more images!)
It’s not as small as it appears, see it on a silhouette of a 5′ 5″ person. It’d be great for lunch with the girls as it’d hang from the back of a chair perfectly or from your table with your Bag Snob Bag Hook (okay, a little shameless plug!)
This is a fun bag!
what an easy cute lil bag! i love it, i think the size is perfect. not too small – enough to store a few things 🙂
Love the design and a great price point!
I have the trigger, this may be next up but what color, I feel the lighter color shows the folds and stitching well but the black is so pretty against the brushed gold… I love the price point, more bags like this please!
cute lil bag is the right description. I am not a Botkier fan but this is really adorable.
adorable! not something you see everyday.
