Parisian Feeling: Sonia Rykiel

chloe_sevigny.jpg

I just booked my flight to Paris! I’m leaving end of September for Paris Fashion Week!! I couldn’t be more excited. Growing-up going to the Lycee Francais I’ve always had a sweet-spot for Paris and if I could change things and replace being born in NYC with anywhere it would be Paris (also if I could magically have access to a private jet 24/7 to take me to St. Tropez that would be nice too…ironically the building I live in, in NYC is called The St. Tropez!). The best part is not only am I going to be attending some shows (which I can’t wait to report back on!), I will be visiting my best friend Christine who just moved to Paris a few weeks ago to attend perfumery graduate school in Versailles :). So, to go along with my Parisian mood, what could be more fitting than Sonia Rykiel? Anyone who has been to Paris knows that you can’t go 2 seconds without passing one of her boutiques. I absolutely love the smart, casual sexiness of Rykiel’s clothing (how cute does Chloe Sevigny, pictured above, look!?). I don’t wear T-shirts too often, but when I do, one of my favorites is a Rykiel one I got in the winter of ’06, the last time I was in Paris. It says “Gourmande” on it!..so fitting when surrounded by patisseries — side-note, anyone going to Paris must stop by La Duree (I once spotted Karl Lagerfeld eating a macaroon there so you know it’s gotta be good!). Check-out these great Rykiel pieces below!
