I love net-a-porter! I purchased their chocolate brown minibout Christian Louboutins for nearly 30% off. They came and fit fabulously!
I am sorry to throw in a question that is not within the topic. I bought a white balenciaga giant part-time bag from barneys (dallas)
a couple of weeks ago. (I know this bag is not the latest bag and has been out forever but still I was attracted to the white one). I then realized there is a white dye something on the strap of the bag the other day. When I brought it back to barneys, the sales person said that is an excess dye stain that almost all of the colored bags would have! What happened to quality control? Is that true? They showed me another one which is worst and asked me to keep mine. They were not helpful at all. I was very tempted to just return it and go to chanel’s private sale. I wish I did. What do you suggest? Thanks!
Hi J, I have the balenciaga bag in just about every color (some colors which are not made anymore) 2 of my colors are Choc.brown and red which look distressed up close. so some parts are a bit darker then others, however I dont think that is what you are talking about. Anyway, Just looked at my white one and I see nothing of the sort (dye stain) on it.but perhaps Kelly or Tina can help you further.
If it bothers you, then take it back….thats what I would do….Sorry, dont think I helped much…

If you see a bag you just cant live without then go for it…who cares if its not the bag of the Mo…I still LOVE!! all of mine, and will NEVER part with them!! Geez!! Ive had mine long b4 they were the “IT” bag!

Last week I got 6 pairs of shoes I was going to buy but have been too busy with work and traveling to buy. Three Louboutins, a Chanel, and two Prada heels. All 40% off!
I love sales! As long as you get to choose early. I hate the end of sales, after it’s been picked over.
I prefer pre-sale 🙂

Tina! I don´t do that much shopping. I recall buying 2 pairs of shoes last year and I am ready to pay what they cost, if they are the ones I really want. The same goes with bags. I won´t take the risk that they will be waiting there for me when the sales come. When you buy less,you can afford the expensive ones. I don´t want the left overs. I am very quick making decisions and I just don´t want to wait ages to get the things I desire.
OMG! I just scored the Celine Orlov Leather Tote from net-a-porter.com for $750 (50% off of $1500). I just checked back at the site and it’s now sold out! I’m so happy!
I buy a lot in the beginning of the season at full price and then buy a lot during the sales 🙂
I am doing my part in stimulating the economy!
Oh,forgot to mention that the other pair of shoes I bought, were riding boots,cause I do a lot of riding and the old ones were not usable !
I agree with you Tina on the sales. Pre-sale is really the best way to buy on sale. This year was great for sales because they were very early. I love sales also but not the end of them too much junk left.
I tend to agree with mette more on this one. It happened to me this season. Now I know some of you are going to go OH NO and roll your eyes at me, but I LOVED the Fendi man totes shown on the runway for S/S 08!!! I have said on here before I like it when a classic monogram is played with (but not LV). But as so often happens after runway shows, things change and the Fendi buyers bought them in a smaller size. Only Saks purchased one of them in the big size shown on the runways. So I sat there in late March saying do I buy this full price? How many men or going to want this – should I wait? And I purchased it full price and thank goodness I did cause they sold out before any sale started. I use it as one of my gym bags, as a matter of fact it’s underneath my desk here at work as I type. But I do love pre-sales too.
