Even though I’m fair with blonde hair, I want super-thick, super-black eyelashes. No wallflower browns for me! Being a mascara junkie, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect formula. I don’t care where it comes from or if it’s a premium brand—it just has to do the job! I’d also prefer that I not have to use several different kinds to achieve the look I want. I started wearing Dior Diorshow Mascara Black 090 almost a year ago, and loved the volume it gave my lashes. But then I tried CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara, Very Black 800, and I really like it as much as the Diorshow, if not better! The CoverGirl is even more black, in my opinion, and does provide thick, luscious lashes with only two coats. The only problem I have with it, is that it tends to clump a little more than the DiorShow, but this is easily fixed with a metal lash comb. And the price difference is significant! DiorShow costs $24 at Sephora, while Lash Blast is only $7.95 at Drugstore.com, and I’ve seen it even cheaper at drugstores and Target. And while, I don’t mind spending more for a great mascara, I’d just as soon spend the extra money on something else!
