Everyone has the one amazing place they go to for facials and I had mine. But I was introduced to Arcona and had a chance to get the treatment at the Santa Monica studio and everything I’ve ever known has changed! Whatever “bestest” foundation I have is of no use to me now as my skin is radiant, smooth and ridiculously perfect. I actually look like how I used to look with foundation on but so much brighter and with a glow from within. The secret is in their enzyme based products. The facial started out with a cleanser and a scrub, same ole same ole, then came the enzyme mask. I was skeptical and thought it was kind of gimmicky to make me sign a release prior to my treatment declaring that I understood the power of this mask and that I shouldn’t go in the sun and need special treatment and protection afterwards. I’m like, it’s pineapple and papaya juice, whatever! But boy was I wrong.
It was pineapple, papaya and pumpkin enzymes but as soon as this sucker went on my face I felt it working, it had a slight stinging sensation but wasn’t uncomfortable. It is meant to do what many products claim, it takes off the top layer of the skin (the dead cells) to reveal the new young skin underneath (which it amazingly did). But it also cleansed the pore deep down so there was no need for extractions! Hallelujah, right? No one likes that part of the facial. There was some other stuff that went on my face but then came their signature “facial contouring”. This intense massage of the 55 muscles of the face is like a mini face lift, it works out the muscles and makes them perk up. My face was abuzz with the rigorous massaging and I actually felt the blood rushing to my face and making facial muscles I wasn’t aware I had come alive. After the 50 minute facial I spent another 10 staring at myself in the bathroom mirror in total amazement and fascination. It was like Brandi (my esthetician) peeled off my old skin and gave me my infant daughter’s perfect skin. She told me then that in 2 days my skin will look even better after the enzymes had time to fully work into the skin. I am telling you, every morning I wake up and spend an extra 10 minutes staring at myself in the mirror. At this point my husband is already sick of me saying 100 times a day, “Look how amazing my skin looks!!!”. My Face Contouring with Enzyme Peel is $135, worth every penny and more!! This is now my new amazing place I go to for facials and I am telling everyone to go. For those who do not live in LA, you can buy their line of all natural plant based products (all of which smell good enough to eat) which I will review next week. They are also amazing, I’ve been using it for a week and my skin continues to be radiant and glowing with youthful life.
oooh i can’t wait until your review those products kelly. after you talked about it i looked it up and am now eying the golden grain gommage exfoliator and the raspberry resurfacing peel. so if you try those out let me know how it is!!! and the facial you got, is it available in the ready to sell since i live in dallas and can’t get my own facial there or else i totally would! that place sounds like such a cheap thrill by the way you describe its fabulosity.
