Are you loving this green or what? I have to have this! I am in the market for a new bag and I think I just found it (it is exactly the amount I have to spend). It is new for Fall and is just what I need when the outdoors is no longer as green as I want it to be. This is a classic Bottega style, super easy, functional and will always be your trusty friend when you need a good standby. I am really excited about being able to buy another bag right now when I thought I had to wait. Although I have to admit, colors like this do go on sale so maybe I should hold off, or maybe I should get something else for now and then get this on sale? Decisions decisions. Neimans is having Last Call, everything is so tempting! Well, you know how we love Bottega Veneta so even if this is not a bag for you, just looking at the color should make you happy. Kelly, have you seen the proportions? I’m a lover of big bags and I think I might be taller than you from pictures I’ve seen, but I think it might be too big for you! It looked humongous on me and I’m 5’6… But you’re right about it being beautiful, excellent taste as always! 🙂
I just saw the same bag (I’m pretty sure) on bluefly.com in “walnut”. I’d love to buy it but it may be too big for my size (5’2″). Love the Bottegas!
I have been eyeing this same green bag for pre-order for the past few weeks! I wanted to test out the size before I ordered so I headed down to my local NM to try it on in a differnet color. I’m 5’2 and it didn’t look to big on me at all! Maybe there are 2 sizes? Anways I was comparing it with my small BV Julie that is 14 x 13 and it was a tiny bit larger, but not by much. It has much more depth than my Julie of course, which is rather flat. I say go for it Kelly, this color green is very versatile and as you know a HOT fall color, and since it is still pre-order you know it won’t be going on sale until at least November =)
I loved this bag and bought it in chocolate, but I ended up returning it. There’s no way to close the bag, so depending on what one has it inside, it sometimes gapes open. I live in NYC and was in perpetual fear that someone was going to pickpocket me. It was beautiful, but just not practical for me. I ended up exchanging it for the Cocker (which has worked out wonderfully).
I have tried this bag on and it is not too big for me. I am 5’6″ but I appear taller because of my large frame so I can pretty much handle any size bag and get away with it (but thank you for thinking I am smaller than I am after seeing a picture of me with Tina because I usually look like an Amazon next to her). The thing is, this bag will not come in until October so I’m kidding myself if I think I can wait, impatient is my middle name.

I have this bag in chocolate brown. I just love it. As a fellow bag snob, I just wanted to tell you that I vaguely remember this bag in the same green color on NM’s website this past fall. Do stores send unsold bags bag to the manufacturer and then re-order them the next season??
