This Lanvin is from their resort collection and it is like they are directly responding to my plea. Just last week I was searching high and low for a white bag for Spring/Summer, I had long conversations with Tina about this and it was decided that I should wait for the right bag to come along. And what happened today? I open the Barney’s catalogue and there she was in all her glory calling out to me saying, “Here I am!!”. This is what I’ve been searching for, minimalist but design detailed and a Lanvin, how can you go wrong? I’m not giving specific details about where to buy the bag until I get mine (although I did already give it away but you’ll have to do the leg work in finding exactly where one is). $1590 at ???.

I love Lanvin’s bags. I have a bone one from the first or second collection when Alber started doing bags. I love it so much I hardly ever wear it — I don’t want to get it marked up!! I just bring it out of its sleeper and gaze adoringly at it. It looks a lot like this one but I think I like it better.
All this Lanvin talk . . . I’m going to have to go drool over it again!
Dear Bag Snobs – you guys should log onto the Sergio Rossi website (www.sergiorossi.com). The bags are pretty cute: especially the patent leather “Vanity” and the “Nuvola”. And since they aren’t really known for their bags they are not too expensive. I think the “Nuvola” is around $900. So you could get 2 adorable bags for the price of 1 Marc Jacobs atrocity.

I’ve STILL never been able to bring myself to buy a bag with a chain handle — I can’t get over worrying it will be uncomfortable to carry. How wrong am I about this?

Chain handles are the MOST comfortable to carry, in my opinion. They are so light weight and won’t roll off your shoulders! I have small shoulders and rolled straps have been an issue for me. Chanel never ever lets me down with their classics and reissues.
