Cannes Red Carpet Ride

I really did try to find the fabulously dressed but the usuals like Halle Barry were wearing such boring black not-worth-mentioning dresses. But isn’t it so much more fun pointing out the dreadfully styled?

Avril Lavigne in vintage Armani at the screening of Over the Hedge. Can you say, “Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, bettlejuice!”?

Is this our cute Andie MacDowell (at the Premier of The Da Vinci Code) or is this her haggardly aunt Andie MacDowdy?

Audrey Tatou at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She’s wearing a toga right? A toga that she made herself? (actually, it is a Balmain dress.) But she is wearing fabulous Pierre Hardy sandals that we love! They are available at Barney’s in Beverly Hills and New York as well as the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.

Eva Herzigova at the premier of The Da Vinci Code. She has a super hot bod and I don’t blame her for showing it off, but you still have to think about things like style and taste.

Sarah Michelle Geller at the screening of Southland Tales. She is oh-so-scary. Is she impersonating Joan Collins?

Best Dressed

One of the best dressed is Virginie Ledoyen, who is a sexy young French actress. This look is so refreshing especially on a red carpet. We love the dressed down look for Cannes because it is after all a beach city. We predict we will be seeing a lot more of her.

The best dressed goes to Beyonce who was at the screening for Dreamgirls. The blue print dress with gold trim was designed by her mom, Tina Knowles. Who knew the Snobs would approve of something not straight out of a french couturier.
