Sephora’s New Skincare Range

So many months ago that I can’t even remember when, I went to a preview event to check-out the Sephora branded products that have just now launched in stores. Its been hard to keep mum about the line, especially the new Smart Dual Action Exfoliator ($24)! When it comes to beauty bargain shopping – value sets withstanding – Sephora isn’t usually the place to go, but their in-house Sephora line is definitely the cool beauty equivalent to Trader Joe-branded food products! They’re not necessarily all frugally- priced, but you get a lot more bang for your buck than most other premium brands, at least for the products I’ve tried, without comprising quality – which is why I often gravitate towards the line much like I gravitate towards anything with the Trader Joe’s stamp:-)

I use a lot of Sephora’s I.T. Collection brushes because they’re the only ones I’ve come across that stand upright and come with a cap to prevent dust and particles from getting trapped in the bristles. Their polish and eye removers are also a lot more affordable and equally as effective as the ones I like from OPI and Caudalie. As of yet nothing I’ve tried has bombed and this winter they’ve got more new products than I can possibly count. I’ve only used two out of the new ones, but they’ve been winter-time life savors for my dry-face. The Smart Dual Action Exfoliator combines two different textures – a white gel for sensitive areas and a green cream for tougher areas more prone to flaking. I need something “tough” for my forehead, but gentle for the rest of my face so this is the perfect combo for me especially since this time of year I exfoliate 3 times a week versus once when the weather isn’t leaving m skin parched. The second product I’m really liking is their Instant Depuffing Roll-On Gel. My under-eye area is super-sensitive, especially this time of year, so this stick is awesome because I can apply the gel without my fingertips irritating the sensitive region.
