The pink Chanel is the more droolworthy of the two. I would buy this for myself and prefer it to a fancy expensive valentine dinner and accommodations at a hotel, overpriced flowers, and cheesy chocolates. Those prices jack up during VD! All that preparation and expense costs my hubby $2000 so he happily agreed to get me this bag– that is if stores do not run out
This bag stays constant! So it is the worthier investment. You may want to use this argument with your husband ladies!

My barneys has had the distressed brown sacca for weeks!
I’ve been mulling over it and can’t decide between the cream and that.
I already have the black so don’t want to repeat in too many colors 🙂
The distressed brown is gaining favor because I noticed that the cream is a flat color and will not age well.
The distressed brown is so amazing and will patina with age and look better the more you beat it up!
The pink chanel is gorgeous. the best gifts are the gifts I buy for myself (on any occasion:) My kids give me the cute valentine’s heart drawings which I love. Otherwise, i agree with lipvixin, I rather buy a bag, shoes or jewelry of my choice rather than getting flowers at three times of its usual price that also will die and wither in no time. I like the Givenchy Sacca, very practical and gorgous! I’m just not crazy about the nancy gonzalez small croc, the pink is too harsh and I’m just not a big fan of her croc. They are just not the same as the croc skin from Hermes.
Tina…I was a little shocked you have this bag…I thought it looked rather large? I haven’t seen it in the flesh…if you carry very little in your bag does it not pad out well?

P.S. I am new to collecting Chanel…in your opinion should you get the classic chanel in the seasonscolour or should you stick to the classics?
I purchased the powder gray last year, but would love a black patent as I don’t have this finish in any style of bag…or should I just go with my pink love and pick this little beauty up? (pink is so girly but I find it hard to match up to my outfits…do you work pink bags?)

ahhhh, the pink chanel. another “excuse” to buy a bag for myself. my bf is a little old school but sometimes coaxing flowers out of him is even hard. i get all my bags myself. there’s nothing better than spending my own money; i feel really proud when i see my collection. so there’s CNY, valentine’s, my birthday, la la la fall purchase, christmas.
it’s not even CNY yet, and i’ve already bought a dell’acqua and LV this year. tell me the recession is still on.

Hi Julie, just got back from Barneys, They didnt have the brown Sacca–(sob) but I did get to try on the bag in black and a pretty merlot, the bag is amazing and I cant wait to get it…really need to see it in the brown though! idk anything about a black piping Tina is talking bout cuz I have NOT seen the darn bag!!!! =)

Called Barney’s and they said that the only distressed brown they are getting is a cognac or reddish brown. Is that the distressed brown color you are talking about or is it more of a distressed chocolate brown?
I’m having the same thoughts as Lottie too.
Wondering if getting a pink 2.55 and bring it out 3 months later will be seen as “out-of-fashion” since pink is a seasonal color (i presume ?)….
I’ve been eyeing for a 2.55 for the longest time… saw one with 2 tones.. pink flap and brown bottom… thought it was gorgeous !
