OK… so maybe these shoes aren’t exactly “Couture”- but they are definitely worth a mention and your hard earned dollar. I will be the first to admit that living in LA, I sometimes get caught up in “me” and forget to really contribute to a greater good. It’s strange how you can justify spending $500 on shoes a few times a year, but giving $200 to a local charity around the holidays seems like a stretch. When I first saw TOMS campaign, I was really excited that I could still nurture my shoe addiction and give something back to the world! For every pair of shoes you buy, TOMS will donate a pair to a child in need- what better reason is there to buy shoes? Most of his shoes are very Santa Monica/Venice Beach bum looking, but his sleek wrap boot ($118.00) is right up my ally. I must tell you how impressed I was with how amazingly comfortable these boots are!
The day after I purchased them, I walked over a mile -blister free! The unique look of this boot comes from the long elastic band that extends from the ankle, which literally allows you to build up the boot! The elastic wrap is such an amazing idea, since the shaft of a boot rarely fits every leg, and it allows you to make them as tall or as short as you like = )
